We will be visiting two completely different climates – Ecuadorian Highlands (similar to Patagonia) and the Galapagos (similar to Hawaii) – so we will have to pack for cold and rainy and hot and beach weather.. Yahoo
Footwear:
Trail Running shoes or hiking boots, water shoes (optional) and sandals
Warm socks, slippers for hanging out in the lodge in the highlands.
Clothing:
Highlands – Layers – 2 long sleeved wool shirts, fleece, packable down jacket, waterproof raincoat and pants, wool or warm tights, hiking pants, wool hat.
Galapagos – Swimsuit, shorts, T-shirts or tanks, long pants, hiking shorts, sun hat – optional – snorkeling gear and wetsuit
yoga mat (optional)
light towel or sarong for beach day
Both – Comfortable clothes for Yoga, Sleep shirt/pj’s, underwear
– a couple of nice outfits for dinners out
Day pack with either hydration or a water bottle
Toiletries:
Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Shampoo/conditioner
Brush/comb, Feminine hygiene products, SUNSCREEN
Cosmetics
Health:
SUNSCREEN and sun glasses
Personal prescriptions filled from home
Contact lenses, If you wear prescription eye glasses, pack a spare pair
Documents:
PASSPORT, Covid vaccination card, airline tickets, Driver’s license, Money (US currency is used in Ecuador), debit card to get cash, credit cards
Travel insurance, Insurance card and contact information, Address book/info
Leave at home:
Extra keys, credit cards, membership cards, etc.
Copies of Passport, Vaccinationan card, License, Debit/Credit Cards, Airline Tickets, Itinerary & contact #’s
No need for electrical converters/plugs – They are the same as US plugs
