With all your clothing- the general idea is to choose quick/drying lightweight materials

Here are some recommended items to bring with you.  Bring clothes for our daily activities as well as down/free time

  • Day Pack (21L-35L) * Small crush-down daypack for hiking or camelback type of hydration pack
  • Something like TEVA waterproof sandals, water shoes
  • Trail shoes/running shoes with tread, and change of socks for walking on goat trails
  • Flip-flops / sandals for general beach days
  • Rain Jacket (Lightweight, WATERPROOF, Breathable), you only need a light cheap poncho style to throw over if we get stuck in the rain. Can get these cheap locally. Anything else is too heavy.
  • Reusable Water Bottles (Two 1-Quart) or Hydration System
  • Sleepwear
  • Small swim towel
  • Swimsuit, * Comfortable swim suit or paddling pants/shorts for kayaking
  • long-sleeve rash guard to protect from sun while kayaking or swimming
  • Goggles and bright swim cap for swimming, You can bring snorkel gear if you want but there are not that many fish to see
  • Lightweight swim fins (I like these for ocean swimming because it makes me go faster) If you plan on swimming you may want to bring your Zoomers or other swim fins
  • New Wave swim buoy, this is awesome and everyone NEEDS one. It is a little buoy that you hook on to yourself while ocean swimming so boats can see you and also it floats so you can have a rest. (it is not a lifesaving device)https://www.amazon.com/New-Wave-Swim-Buoy-Bundle/dp/B08K99JZH6If you have ear trouble you can get these ear plugs:www.surfears.com
