Check out this article: “What to Pack for Iceland in Summer (Clothing and other Essentials)”.

Things to Consider: The weather in Iceland is unpredictable. Think high 50’s for the high and mid 40’s for the low. Strong winds are possible as well as rain and snow. Make sure the pack rain gear as well as well as warmer base layers. We always recommend wool (socks, undershirts and long underwear) as it keeps you warm even when wet. You may also want to bring an eye mask. The sun will rise early and set late. There will be curtains in our hotel room, but we recommend bringing one just in case!

Can I bring my own horse riding gear?  Since it is only one morning or afternoon, then your hiking shoes are OK but we prefer you to have a boot with a heal for safety reasons. If you plan on riding 2 of the days then bring riding boots but not cowboy boots. You can contact Colleen@womensquest.com for boot photos and descriptions.

Clothing for Hiking:

 – T shirts or tank top (wool – can be used in warm or cold weather)
-Waterproof rain jacket
-Warm Jacket
-Layers- Wicking clothing and layers of non-cotton clothing will make regulating your temperature easier during the long hike days-Warm Hat, really warm hat!! and Gloves
-Hiking shorts and pants and wool socks

Laundry: The hotels have laundry service or you can hand-wash in the sink.
